Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Matthew 6:26 NKJV.
Watching and photographing birds is a very enjoyable way to escape the world and spend time with the Lord. I will sometimes spend hours during the day learning what birds do and the environment they live in. Early morning and late afternoon are good times of the day to see and photograph birds.
The lighting is important to help bring out the details and color of the birds and they tend to be a little more active during these times. Using a full frame camera works best because it gives you more field of view to work with. In addition, using a longer telephoto zoom lens gives a better range of photographs that can be taken. Many times, after checking out where the birds are and when, getting to the spot to take the photographs and wait until they start to come into range really can pay off.
Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. Matthew 13:32
